![]() ![]() I can guarantee you there are very few rental companies out there that do this sort of screening. 9 Times out of 10 in a situation like that, it’s going to be a bachelor party and we would not rent to them. For example, if a group of 12 dudes between the ages of 21-30 tried to book a house, that would raise a huge red flag prompting us to start the group questions about their stay. We also had a very thorough screening process when guests would try to book a stay. A simple google search will show you just how long these issues have been going on for.īecause of the lack of enforcement from local authorities, the company I worked for took it upon themselves to give every neighbor within 500ft of our rental homes our personal numbers so they could reach out to us when guests were causing a disturbance. Until this past year, there was no such thing as VHR code enforcement even though it has been desperately needed for years. This is why they are being so strict right now. ![]() ![]() This lead to angry residents and numerous city council meetings over the past few years regarding VHR’s. With that being said, as a former manager of a VHR company’s town, I will tell you that the reason this whole vacation rental issue got so out of hand was the lack of enforcement of the ordinances that were already in place. That sucks that your VHR company didn’t inform you of the new ordinance enforcement. ![]()
